Would univerities accept BTEC Level 2 as an equivalent to GCSE?

I'm doing 4 GCSEs including Maths and English alongside the BTEC Level 2.

Depends on the course and university. As long as you have maths and English you have a chance. You have to consider realistically whether university study is the right choice for you if you find it challenging to achieve 5 GCSE passes. A successful application will ultimately depend much more on Level 3 or A level performance.
