Feminism and equal pay

Started a business with my best mate and we got to a point where we couldn’t handle the orders on our own anymore and had to employ staff.
I don’t like hiring women for many reasons.
You train them, though on average women do well in training than men, but they take more time off work for family reasons and you’ll have to take on another staff and start from scratch.
Delivery day (7kg max per item)is always nightmare with women.
Final straw, one of the female staff accused one of my drivers of sexual assault and she was prepared to take it to court when I questioned if the incident actually happened. Archive footage finally came from cctv company and this incident did not happen at all, with the date and timeline checked, she saw this footage and she apologised. She got sacked the same day.
So all in all, why would people say women and men are the same and should be paid the same? Even football players aren’t getting the same wage. You get paid what the employer think you’re worth and Definitely shouldn’t be gender based.
Our new accountant is a woman and she’s paid more than the previous who’s a male.
Value is important not gender
THOUGHTS?
Most people profess to be egalitarian and claim to believe in fairness/equal opportunities for everyone.
A few people and fringe groups openly take a different position, largely as a result of identity politics or ideological bias.
I think your attitude towards hiring women will one day prove to be a public relations disaster for your business, particularly if it involves comments made after consuming a lot of alcohol or privately to a girlfriend/former girlfriend.

In most jobs the highest priority is recruiting someone with the ability to do job, followed by personal character and experience/qualifications.
Employers usually offer the salaries that they think the role merits and the applicant deserves.
Job applicants consider the pay before they apply for the job and sign the contact if they agree with the pay offered.
People who are motivated by earning larger salaries will often seek better paid employment elsewhere and leave for higher pay as soon as they are able to.

Biological sex and gender preferences are usually not relevant to most jobs.
Unless its a job that involves very heavy lifting, rape crisis counselor or maternity nurse primarily working with socially traditionalist communities that are not keen on men caring for the health needs of pregnant women and babies they are not related to.
In many roles and within the fashion industry, women often command higher salaries than men.
I'm female and not a feminist.

Thanks for the reply, which is not only just sensible but equally well put together. One thing I believe is that equal opportunities which I support is good but it doesn’t always lead to equality of outcomes which baffles me when disillusioned socialists starts this topic.
one question to you as a female non-feminist, why aren’t you a feminist? Only if you don’t mind me asking that.
I’m male and I agree with the rudiments of early feminism and not this modern age wave.
men and women are not made by nature or whatever to fight or compete against each other

My father was an intersectional feminist and I have many female feminist friends.
I believe in justice for everyone, not identity politics and I won't start playing favourites.

Most feminists (male and female) believe in feminism as a brand of identity politics for championing and empowering women.
Issues like: all woman shortlists, corporate quotas, automatically favour women in divorces & child custody cases, avoid imprisonment sentences for women convicted of crimes but the male co-defendants convicted of the same criminal offence have to serve jail time.

Fringe groups like radical feminists & the women's liberation movement are open in their hostility to males and the fact that they do not want equality between women & men.
lol you still perpetuating the wage gap... this is true feminism...

Wage gap is there for a reason and gender should not dictate this, value should dictate this My accountant who’s a woman gets paid more than any of my drivers which are all men.
I’m sure we can agree on that
wage gap is bullocks not real mate, you get paid on your skill and level not your ****
You’re my hero mate. Well said.
Equality of opportunities is good for everyone but folks seem to forget that equality of outcomes is a severely deranged idea.

Equality of opportunities is that you get your chance to race against usain bolt.
Equality of outcomes is that the race is fixed so that you and usain bolt finished at same record time, regardless of who put in more effort.
2019 and people are still this stupid? I’m with you mate. Value is important not what’s between your legs
