Hi, we have a property in Liverpool called The Railyard ( Student Roost) which comes with very reasonable prices, it would be worth heading over to our website and having a look,

Hope you find somewhere suitable ,

Best wishes

Hi, I've been offered a place at uni of Liverpool to study occupational therapy in 2019. I am really struggling to decide what accommodation to apply for, I want self catered with a good social life! I have been looking at Greenbank but Im worried it is too far from the city campus. I have also been looking at Crown Place, but the only thing putting me off is that apparently its mostly girls and theres a noise curfew which makes me think that it is not a good social scene. If anyone could give me some advice it would be much appreciated x
I'm not too sure, this helped me and might help you. https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/virtual-open-day/?/liverpool-campus/accommodation
I think the studio rooms are for disabled students bc of its accessibility features but you'll have to email to be certain.

Hi I am looking at Greenbank for accommodation but was hoping someone could tell me the difference between the studio and the apartment and what is in the rooms.
Thanks

Hi - sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. I'm just going to bump the thread in the hope that someone sees this and can help :h:

Why do I this?

Hey

Starting in Sep, haven't decided where to stay yet. I do know Private accommodation costs similar but of better quality.

Been looking at Student Roost, Unite, freshstudentliving etc

Any feedback anyone?
Dear Student Roost & Fresh Student Living - are you a decent landlord? (your company). I've heard horror stories about private accommodation and their landlords who are only interested in making money

I'd applied for Accommodation on the 1st February and I'm hoping this is early enough. My first choice is a catered ensuite premier in vine court. I would really like to be offered a room there so was just wondering if my chances are good. Also how many catered accommodations do Vine Court have available for first year undergraduates?

If your looking to make friends and go out id stay away from student roost. Despite being in great location and having a decent price the accomodation consists of mostly international students who keep to themselves and interaction with them is difficult. Waste of first year imo, great for 3rd year students the place is usually dead silent, staff are friendly and helpful.
hi! I'm going to Liverpool this September (studying Vet Med) and have received my offer of accommodation for Crown Place. I have spoken to a few people who were first years last year and they all advised to go either greenback or crown place as they're both the most sociable regardless of noise curfews, however they are all carnatic/greenbank and said they would prefer Crown Place as although the commute isn't long, they would prefer to be more central. Go with your gut!

Hi, the beauty of us having 5 properties in Liverpool is that they're all different in their own ay so there's something for everyone.
Hi Yousuf,

We do make it a priority to make sure our residents are safe and happy. What we are interested in is providing the best accommodation so our residents can amplify their university experience.

Go to Crown. I live in greenbank currently and crown is much better socially

Have any of you strange animals applied for accommodation yet? I have just selected Crown Place. Nice building. Good stuff.
Hi
Can you assist with a bit more of an explanation as I believe Greenbank is fully open for this summer. Is Greenbank not sociable? With 1300 students there this summer I was hoping it would be a good place to apply for. Can you let us know your experiences of the place and the differences between there and Crown. Thanks

Greenbank I think although gives a student feel, for the price it is not worth it in comparison to how social Crown is. Most events will be on campus or in town so crown is better for this as you're closer. Greenbank and Crown have a similar look so you might as well go for the cheaper option. Tbf it's probably down to the individual but I have friends in both greenbank n Crown, and I find my crown friends more sociable.

I think the uni hypes up the student feel and social bus journeys. The area does give a student feel but most people just socialise with their flat and that's it. If I was to order the socialness it'd be

Carnatic(closing down), crown, greenbank and then vine.

If you're looking at private accommodation, I'm with Accommod8 this year and they're pretty good, respond to maintanance issues fairly quickly, hve decent houses (Kensington) and reasonable rent costs. They're one of the university accredited agencies as well I think so if there were any serious issues with them, Liverpool Student Homes can help.
Last year I lived in a 4 bed house run by MGS Estates and I would not recommend this agency to anybody... the house wasn't cleaned before we moved in, we weren't allowed access to the heating, they ignored us telling them the roof was leaking, we had rats in the kitchen and to make it all better, they deducted a quarter of our deposit because some of the rooms were a bit dusty and they had to clean the oven -_-
I unfortunately cannot afford the accommodation that the University of Liverpool offers. Is there any private halls people can recommend me with reasons. Thank you!
