What to do about house spiders?

There seems to be loads of spiders about where I am at the moment, and I can't really cope with them in my room.

Was wondering the most humane way to get rid of them, as I heard that throwing them out of the window is not good for them/could be more suffering than just killing them?

Which is the most humane way of getting rid - throwing them outside or killing them?

My mutts stay on top of any encroachers.
Throwing out of the window bursts their exoskeleton so their guts explode. Not a nice death

Yep . Spiders are actually pretty delicate. They are basically a thin hard outer shell with a load of squishy stuff inside. That's why you have to be careful when you handle tarantulas because they can die from a drop even at a small height. Their abdomen is basically the fragility of a water balloon.

O__O
Burn the whole house down
If you keep your room clean then you wont get many (there's no food for them)
