He is a politician how else am I meant to form a bloody view of him? Haven't run into him at the local pub and had a chat with him...
You didn't say you 'if you were a fascist before'. You said if a fascist advocator was a good debater, it would convince you to follow his views.

Based on his manner? You can not like his policies, doesn't mean you automatically like him as a person.

I never said that. I said 'I don't see why it's idiotic for a Leaver to not respect him'
Original post by That'sGreat
People support him because he is opinionated, is a fantastic debater and was a key figure in driving for Brexit - I don't see why it's idiotic for a Leaver to not respect him.

It's not a capitalist organization though.

Free trade agreements between member states is a pretty basic capitalist idea

Ah so if an advocater and supporter of facism was a good debater and was opinionated, you'd support them? Also I didn't say I didn't like you (idk you). I have friends who are idiots.

Ummmm, ‘‘it’s more to do with the fact he’s a brexiteer to why Brexit supporters like him...

practically Jacob-Rees Mogg
i mean he does have the union jack as his profile pic so that should have given it away

And what’s wrong with having a national flag as an avatar? Or does it being the British flag automatically make it bad?

Usually means the person is either a nationalist or an ultra-nationalist. I don't like either

Not really. I have a photo that contains the Belgian flag. If I made that my avatar, does that make me a Belgian nationalist? Why has liking your own country become so stigmatised (at least for the west) in 2019?

yes really, having the Union Jack shows you are in support of your country heavily, why else would you use it. I don't like nationalists because they either wish for the empire to come back, or are very uneducated. I think it's stupid how someone can be like this is the greatest country ever I'm so proud to be from here, when there's corruption, ignorance of what's going on around the world and the UK just ignores it. it also makes little sense to me that someone is in such support of a piece of cloth with some shapes on it, that signifies you were born on a piece of land owned by someone else, who has the duty of providing you healthcare, while you have to work for them.
Well, the far left tends to be extremely aggressive and violent in general. So this time it must be the remainers ... D

and the far right isn't aggressive..

You don't like people who have an emotional attachment to their country? Why? Do you really hate yourself that much?

What an ignorant comment.

The only person uneducated here is you, nationalism does not necessarily equal a desire for the empire to come back. What a ludicrous statement. It means to have an emotional attachment and is used to unite people. To think the country is the greatest every is chauvinism, which is an extreme and minority form of nationalism. The UK is one of the least corrupt countries in the world, and those above them are mainly small countries with smaller economies and states.

The UK ignores whats going on around the world? Every country does that.

The cloth signifies the place that has given you everything you currently posses in your life, a top class education, top class healthcare and a mostly free society. If you hate all those things, i can think of some African warlord owned territories which would provide what you're looking for.

The UK is one of the best countries in the world in terms of the economy, freedom and equality, not sure what else you want

Surprisingly they happen to be far less aggressive and there is way fewer of them.

Which group displays more hatred and venom in your opinion.

Leave obviously

i think that it could be both, however i think it is more lent towards the remainders as they want a deal and government isn't giving them one, so they are going to fight more, than the leavers who just want it done and over with
Original post by AperfectBalance
it very much is.

Considering it was contrived by national socialists I'd beg to differ...

To suggest it's free trade isn't taking the regulations into account.

Fair point. But one could argue it makes all of the countries more competitive by placing them on a similar playing field.

so you just going to ignore the murder of Jo Cox. I don't like painting all leavers in the same picture because they're not, but I feel leavers are more violent and agrressive overall. Just to clarify not all are and not all remainers are calm and civil.

1. I specifically said 'either' meaning some nationalists (or ultra-nationalists) want the empire back such as our good friend with the Union Jack as his profile picture.
2. I definitely wouldn't say it's one of the least corrupt countries in the world, everything is done for personal gain, but that's getting away from the original debate.
3. I know every country ignores what's happening around the world, it's just ironic that many people proclaim Britain to be the saviour of European Jews but we only intervened because Germany directly threatened us. Why are people so quick to say we are saviours and a great country when the Rwandan genocide was completely ignored, there are concentration camps in China and Britain pretty much caused or contributed to problems in the middle East,
4. I'm not saying I don't appreciate what I have, I know I'm lucky but I feel we focus on the 'achievements'(I'm not sure if that's the right word for my point) rather than focusing on improvements and catching up to other society's such as the Scandinavian countries, which I feel are the best in the world.

what makes you think I am a leaver ?

Oh, I don't know... maybe this:
Original post by Nalk1573
back on topic, I say the remainers.

They look down on people as inferior and are very passive aggressive towards people and condescending. They also threaten people.

Leavers seem full of optimism and joy and opportunities.

This is a very immature and unhelpful thread.

immaturity and a desire to be unhelpful are the hallmarks of Brexitism, ergo they should be reflected in our posts.
