I applied in January through ucas. I heard back from Worcester in March with an unconditional offer. I’m based in Shropshire so I will be attending Worcester. Are you studying part time or full time? I’m currently in the process of sorting student finance as I’m doing the full time option. I’m really looking forward to the course. What made you want to apply for this degree? And good luck with your application.

Ooooooh lucky u! I'd love to actually attend at the uni campus. I've applied for the part time course but I'm now thinking to swap to full time and complete sooner. I've got a baby (10months) and where I live the antenatal/breastfeeding support could use a little updating. I used to live in Sutton and they were excellent but now we've moved to Slough ivereally struggled to get the support as a ftm. I'd love to be able to help change that. I'm torn between the breastfeeding specialism and the antenatal care. Which have u chosen? Congrats on the offer and fingers crossed for ur finance application. X

Thank you. I’m currently a stay at home mum. I have a 14 month old. So the full time was a good option for me. I can do it in 2 years instead of 4. If you feel you would be able to keep up changing to full time I say go for it. I’m planning on doing the antenatal and breastfeeding pathways as at the end of the 2 years I want to come away with the full foundation degree. Maybe even going on to do the top up to get a full degree with honours.
It’s the same around here there seems to be very little support and the support we did have when my daughter was first born has now gone. So I’m hoping I can fill the hole.

Hi there, I’m considering applying to do this next year but I just wondered if anyone knew about student loan eligibility. Are you able to get a loan even if you already have a university degree? Thanks in advance!

If you already hold a degree I don’t think you can apply for student finance. Your best bet is to give student finance a call though to check. They were very helpful when I called them when I had a problem with my application.

Hi ladies
I’m hoping to be on the course this year! Trying to work out if I should do this full time or part time and need to understand how much of the course is studied at uni vs home? I’m based in Wokingham so I assume Waterloo or Paddington are my closest study locations but that’s not feasible for daily travel? Can anybody advise? I’ve tried calling NCT but they’re not available or replying to emails at the moment (I am being a little unfair here as I did only email yesterday!! I’m just excited and want to know if I can make it work!)

Hi, I am doing the course full time and I have to go into university 6 times in September and then 2-3 times a month there after. If you are part time I think only have to go once a month. They expect you to do 30 hours home study a week if full time and 15 hours if part time. Also there are 2 compulsory induction days at the beginning of September which are held at the university of Worcester. Hope this helps.

I’m Shropshire so my module and core days are going to be at university of Worcester. They notified me the end of March of the dates for the whole year they are provisional so some dates may change. The dates for the compulsory induction dates I was notified with my acceptance letter and are definite dates.

Hi there. I telephone the university as I wished to apply late. Luckily they still have spaces. A couple of questions...Did you all have a face to face interview? And how long until you heard back from them? Very excited at the prospect of studying full time (although I’m based in Bournemouth and have a 6 month old son so I’m aware it’s going to be crazily busy..) x

I submitted by application yesterday so I’m now waiting to hear back. I believe the applications for this particular course close at the end of June (According to the NCT website). Good luck with yours! Exciting times!

Hi. I applied in January and heard back in March. I was offered an unconditional offer with no interview. But I know they have done interviews in previous years. Good luck exciting busy times for all of us.
