Maths question help please

the area of the pentagon is 8.56cm2
change 8.56cm2 to mm2

If 1cm=10mm then 1cm2 = 100mm2.
8.56cm2 = 856mm2.

No. I've shown you how the conversion works. I won't do your homework for you. It's better for you to practise them yourself - me doing it won't help your education.
To go from mm^2 to cm^2, just do the opposite to what I did to go from cm^2 to mm^2.

Conversion values are just something you need to learn for exams.

I’m trying but I don’t get it at all😭 also it’s not homework it’s just me practicing for my exams

If you're practising for exams, then me just giving you answers won't help at all.

Which question are you on now? I'll try and talk you through it so you can answer it yourself.

The third one. Would I divide 6900mm2 by 1000 to get cm2?

Think about what was posted - imagine a square 1 cm by 1 cm
It's area is 1 cm^2

Now if we convert the lengths into mm the square is 10 mm by 10 mm so it's area is ....

I recommend doing these questions like this [referring to lengths] rather than trying to remember conversion for areas/volumes

mm -> cm is divide by 10.
so mm2 -> cm2 is divide by 102

Oh so the answer is 690cm^2?
use this method.
to get from mm to cm you divide by 10
to get from mm^2 to cm^2 you divide by 10^2 [i.e 100]
to get from cm to mm you multiply by 10
to get from cm^2 to mm^2 you multiply by 10^2

to get from cm^3 to mm^3 you multiply by 10^3

maths is very logical.
BTW in exams sometimes they might ask you to go from mm^3 to m^3
So divide by 10^3 to get cm^3, then divide by 100^3 to get to m^3
