Islam

why is tawhid important
Because your meant to show that you are devoted to God and show that you believe Allah is the only god

Tawhid is the belief in one God. Without this Islam wouldn’t be a monotheistic religion. It emphasises Allah’s supremacy because he is the only God so he deserves love, praise and respect. Also Muslims see not following Tawhid as Shirk and this to Muslims is the ultimate sin so Tawhid has to be important.
Hope that’s helpful

Embodies monotheistic nature of Islam and reflects ideas about Allahs nature i.e. his omnibenevolence. It is so important that Muslims believe that going against this belief would be committing the sin of Shirk, which is the ultimate sin of Islam, hence heightening the importance of the belief in Tawhid.
