I have no idea what to do to revise because i'm familiar with the books, but I've been told I should know essay points, with high grade analysis & quotes for each character/theme

For An Inspector calls you can revise the quotes (and for all the others) Then you can plan an essay by thinking of big points and write and plan quotes
for example with AIC you can plan for a theme question by planning quotes for age division ,gender divide, socialists and etc

Try doing character and theme analysis for each play/book you're working on. That way you can be prepared for any sort of question that might come up. But most importantly you've got to do exam questions. That is the only way you can improve you essay writing skills.

Do essays. That will help you gain practice.
For AIC do an easy for each character.
For Jekyll and Hyde do an essay for each chapter.

Do you know how to write an English essay? If not let me know and I’ll help.

Our teacher taught us this:

QUESTION
Refer back to the question in your topic sentence.
LANGUAGE
Language analysis
METHOD
What the methods demonstrate
FORM
If it's a poem, play.
In Jekyll and Hyde this is:
what the setting says about the character
what characters says about the other character
STRUCTURE
Link to wider parts of the text
Character changes (in AIC Eric and Sheila's character transformation)
CONTEXT (This can be embedded throughout)
Era it was written in and society.

All of this should be included in all paragraphs. So do three paragraphs ensuring it has all of the above in.
Do introduction and conclusion as well.
