sorry, it wasn't perpendicular. I am pretty sure the question was something like the line that passes through point B and the line that passes through point C are both normals to curve H. The lines are parellel to the straight line with equation 4y=3x+5.


Yes, I was just about to say the exact same thing. That’s why the gradient was -4/3 and not 3/4.

My method was a bit weird: I used the sq root(x2-x1)^2 +(y2-y1)^2 -equation of the line formula because AC =BC. I then plugged in the coordinates I knew for both individual set of line equations. Both sqroot signs cancelled. You are the left with two sets of quadratics and +9. Expand the brackets and solve for t, which gave me t = 7/4. I dunno if the above makes sense or if I got the right answer but :/
what did everyone get for the sum of 4 terms answer?
