Hello everyone, how was the exam. For me the ionic equations and other equations was the hard stuff only but overall the exam was easy for me. Let's discuss Evryone!

Yeah I agree for some mcqs and equations. But apart from these the theory questions were easy. These questions just needed common knowledge, like the iodine and water one or magnesium flame color etc

What about the MgO and MgOH questions? I didnt know how to solve them at all

Use concentration and mean volume to find moles of hcl. Then use mole ratio, it was 1:2 i think. Then multiply moles of hcl by 1/2 to find moles of MgO.

To find mass of absorbed water, MgO and water had 1:1 so multiply moles of Mgo × 18 to find mass of absorbed water.

To find mass of pure Mg(OH)2, add the mass of MgO and water....

These were basic calculations of moles...
Apart from the titration question what were the answers for the other one ?

I don't remember but those were powers of 10^-3 or -4.

Oh ok idk , anyone remembers answers ? For the moles of stones of iodine I just Kouriles thenppm value with the 1000kg divided by 1 million and then divided the mass by 2 atoms

Yeah its correct, but why you used 2 atoms? just divide it Mr of iodine (126.9)

Iodine has 2 atoms
Anyone remembers the answers for separating funnel in last question?
In the first part I wrote upper layer as colorless and lower as dark purple
In the next one I wrote upper as lighter purple and lower as purple
