So multiple choice questions:
what do animals have - cant remember the answers here but its not cell wall or amyloplasts
what do plants have - Amyloplast since bacteria have vacuoles
what do plants and animals have - smooth ER?

question for how much vitamin c man needs is 450

question for length of the cell was 5.75 um(micrometers)

question for devise an experiment for vitamin c was the DCPIP core prac

question for devise an experiment of plant extract was the bacteria + zone of inhibition core prac

Hey
i think you can write 0.000575 cm instead of 5.75 micrometres as they did not mention what units specifically
also i think the answer for plants have is vacuole as bacteria do not have cell sap which is in the vacuole

what did you guys write for: what is the role of thrombosis in blood clotting and the gene mutation question?
Reply 4
Hey
Thrombosis speeds up reaction of fibrinogen to fibrin - fibrin and platelets join together and visit the site of damage - to reduce blood loss and to increase blood clot.

The questions about DNA analysis ....

-Extract DNA from a tissue sample
-Create fragments via restriction enzymes
- Separate via PCR
- Transfer to more resilient form via southern blotting

Question about what happens to a body 1 week after composition.....

- cooling of the body (following sigmoid curve)
- rigor Mortis due to lack of ATP produced
- Autolysis begins due to the bodies own digestive enzymes
- greenish discolouration results from putrefaction, followed by gass and liquid blisters

Nothing about insect succession will be valid I think because it was talking about internal processes

How did everyone find this paper overall ????

Wht did people get for comparing the cellulose and other thing (i dont remember what it was being compared to)
Reply 9
It was being compared to Chitin

- Both Chitin and cellulose are polymers of B-glucose
- Both are straight chained with 1,4 glycosidic links
- In both cellulose and Chitin, every other molecule is inverted/flipped

there are probably some others to

wooooo I wrote similar:

beta glucose monomer - both are polysaccharides
both have every other molecule inverted
both have glycosidic bond - hope I get the mark cos didn't say 1,4
chitin has that weird group replacing the OH group on carbon 1

ahahaha fear not! no worries! how was the spec b paper? hope it went well!

Think that weird group is an amine group

ah man I clearly didn't look at it close enough but I wrote OH group has been replaced so should hope id get the mark there

What did you guys put for the 6 markers? Timing defo let me down on them!

Also Question 1 effect of CO2 on plant growth I think it was a 3 marker! What did everyone put for that?
ooo thankss
