How does the kidney prevent water loss in the desert
I feel as if I failed that test. The 6 Mark question on the eye really messed me over. I put all that I could think of but I don't know if it was enough. What did everyone else put?
also got 50%

How does the kidney prevent water loss in the desert

ADH is released from the pituitary gland which increases the permeability of the kidney tubules so more water is reabsorbed into the blood so less water is lost in the urine.
I think it’s that anyway

Once the hypothalamus detects a low concentration of water in the blood stream, it will cause the petruity gland to release ADH, which stops the kidneys from absorbing the water for urine, therefore maintaining the blood water concentration and making the urine more concentrated.
