I see the Church has issued guidance on this gender debate.

(mods - it's in NACA instead of Religion as it references the debate over transgenderism).

'It speaks of an "educational crisis" and says the current debate can "annihilate the concept of nature" and destabilise the family institution.'

Did an institution that believes in a god impregnating his own mother and born through a virgin birth really accuse others of annihilating the concept of nature?

Well, sooner or later somebody was going to have a problem with this state of affairs where nobody knows anymore what a man or woman is.
hmmm - organisation that covers up abuse comes out with a doctrine that enables more abuse (including advocating genital surgery on intersex babies without consent from parents). This is my surprised face :indiff:
Catholic priests wear frocks and some of them have a penchant for young boys. Does that fall within the Catholic concept of nature and promote the family institution?

Only last week, a catholic bishop was complaing that LGBT culture was harmful to children The very same bishop had been involved in covering up child sex abuse.

There's no debate. Trans people exist and deserve good healthcare and respect as humans and members of society.

There is - just ask any feminist his/her stance and you will get a variety of positions, as you do in a - what is the word - debate.
I don't think we need to be listening what history's biggest sex abuse ring have to say about, well, anything.

first of all, mentioning sex scandals is totally irrelevant. second of all, it's cliche and a copout.
third of all, the actions of a few people does not define the religion. you should know this, as an adult. unless there's something in the bible or religious texts itself which the Catholic church teaches that states: "one must and should molest people" you're failing to convince anyone that the Catholic church and Christian religion is too corrupt and therefore in no place to still pass proper values :hmmm: nice try but again, tsr is quite monotonous and sheepish, so enjoy the reps from the most likely, muslim school kids, if that makes you feel credible lol.
 you guys can say whatever you want. Catholicism isnt going anywhere, why do you guys bother with your futile pseudo intellectualism? I think it's good that the Church is finally addressing today's controversies

Nuclear family isnt all that it is cracked up to be. What matters is that the members love and care about each other regardless of gender or conformity

Making a bunch of men commit to celibacy was quite obviously going to lead to some pretty unnatural sexual behaviour. The Catholic church was entirely responsible as an institution for child sexual abuse especially when successive popes tried to cover it up.

It is very likely the upper echelons of the Catholic Church knew what was going on and still kept quiet about it or even advocated/partook in it. Such an organisation should have lost all influence, credibility and power and honestly nobody should be listening to what they have to say. Perhaps Christians can address this issue, but not the Catholic Church itself.

Actually, the word "blasphemous" is offensive to Malaysian cisgender polka-dancing associations in Savonia as they have often been attacked by the Methodist Church.

Checkmate, atheists (or am I doing this wrong?)

Found the anti-Catholic bigot. By the way, mum says you need to clear up the posters of Edward VI's massacres against the evil "Romish papists" before that nice Ian Paisley Jr comes round on a play date.
