OCR 21st Century Chemistry B Depth GCSE 12th June

Please make sure you did the same exam before commenting:
Condensation polymerisation and the different ways of producing ammonium sulfate were included.

How did you find it? We hadn't been taught about the polymer and NPK bits, but other than that it wasn't too bad.
What did you get for the polymer type - polyester, polyamine, polyamide etc?

What did you circle for the type of polymer? I put polyester, never heard of polyamides/amines.

Also I figured nanoparticles and polymers would come up. Did I revise for them though? Absolutely not!

Do we think the grade boundaries will lower??? That was pretty hard I think. I’m gonna put the main topics down for each question to jog your memory but what did everyone put for these questions hopefully you’ll remember the question:
Q1 - was about the different minerals and precipitates
Q2 - Nanoparticles
Q3 - pH graph thing
Q4 - Polymers
Q5 - copper carbonate and all of that stuff about bioleaching
Q6 - Ammonia one
Q7 - 6 Marker on sodium chloride
Q8 - 6 marker on the reactivity of halogens
Q9 - Transition metals
Q10 - Global warming and that graph.

I think thats it, lmk what answers you remember putting

Everyone in my year had found the paper to be quite hard. I myself struggled with it as it was a harder paper. But sure everyone has done well !
