Oh really? So completely going against the will of the people and ignoring a binding referendum (which was promised to be carried out) then calling a party (BP) which was by a country mile elected by more people, Nazis and therefore suggesting that a significant chunk of the population is NAZI SUPPORTING

And you claim I'm the one who has lost the plot

Oh and it does not help that the Remainers are trying to claim that they somehow won the EU elections despite the Brexit party getting 29 MEPs and The liberal Democrats getting 16 in the end.

Thats nearly double

And now they claim the Brexit party are akin to NAZIs ....They have lost the plot Napp

UK referendums are not legally binding as Parliament is Sovereign. Besides, as time goes on circumstances change, people's views change. There are plenty of referendum results that have been ignored by governments.

I wouldn't say he doesn't have a view, it's relatively clear that Farage's views are pretty broadly (if vaguely) right-wing and socially reactionary. They're just a much lower priority to him than Brexit.

But does being broadly right wing and socially reactionary mean spending more money on frigates or F-35 fighters? Mainstream parties have policies, not merely ideologies. Mainstream political parties have a programme for government, however unlikely it is that they will form a government. Farage is dispensing with that.

But I'd say Farage, and both UKIP and the Brexit Party under his leadership are much more defined by a perceived "establishment" rejection. Hence why failed or disgraced Tories have made up so much of their senior teams.

To some degree that is true, but there is a difference between the two parties. UKIP is an opportunity to revive thwarted ambition. Neil Hamilton is the strongest example of this. The Brexit Party simply needed bodies who would not be an embarrassment to him, and frankly when Farage finally quits he could sell his candidate selection process to all the other parties, because it has turned out to be the best in the business.

It’s already been established that due to EU fire safety regs you’ll find it surprisingly difficult, but yes, you can buy some flags to burn if you think it’ll add to the discourse.

Once Brexit has happened we will be able to buy all the flammable flags we want from America. One in the eye for those unelected eurocrats and their Kindermädchenstaat!
The whole thing is childish.

Comparing the Brexit party to the Nazis is gutter press style reporting at its most extreme. The eu played their "National Anthem" meaning that all the Country's become one nation. Since they bring Hitler into this (Godwins law). Farage and co. stood up in respect of an anthem but do not accept it as an National one and have been elected to opposed ideals of the EU ever closer union.

Now on the day I was listening to LBC where Ann widdecombe and a lib dem MEP was, shouting at each other about this. In honestly the lib dem was the most unliberal and adult about this event, the irony.

However its so childish. Let's be honest if you cannot command enough of the English language to design a T shirt without swearing, then you are highlighting how thick remainers really are, irony is, it is they who have been calling the brexiteers thick, stupid or racist since the vote.

As for the Brexit party turning their backs on the EU anthem, it's not quite as bad. After all their whole existence is formed of not wishing to belong to the EU, however it really doesn't exactly scream maturity if we're honest, does it?

However this was different, the UK government made it clear that should the BP vote to leave, leave we will.

The advisory state or Oxford dictionary definition was only brought in when the wring side won by a tiny fraction of the country. The vast majority of people know we need to leave as per the result of not only the 2016 referendum but every other national vote since

Well the majority of people voted for party's that were against Brexit in the European parliament elections so I disagree.

Only that's completely untrue, leave parties won overall and if you club together all parties who back leaving the EU it totals over 60% of those who voted.

So unless you are going to put completely unreasonable spin on it, the UK voted to leave the European Union - again!

The brexit party won over all with only one policy - leave with no deal. That's just not what the undemocratic antiliberals remainers want to read into it.

if we exclude conservative and labour as they are pretty split on Brexit, remain 'won'.

Labour was trying to appeal to both leave and remain by promoting a soft Brexit and a second referendum at the exact same time so is difficult to judge. Putting them on either side of election leads to the other side 'winning'

I'm sorry but you are simply putting a delusional spin on figures to get the outcome you want.

Facts are the British public keep voting for Brexit, they keep voting to leave the EU and you don't like this fact.

Labour support a soft brexit, that means leaving the EU! However many of its voters and a handful of MPs support a harder alternative. Conservatives also support Brexit with many in the party and electorate campaiging for a hard no deal exit.

There is absolutely no way you can look at the results of the EU election this year as a win for remain. How can you say everyone who voted green voted remain? But you are happy to do so because that fits with you agenda, but are unwilling to take votes from Dennis skinners for Labour and Jacob Rees-Mogg for the Conservatives as leave votes because it does not fit with your agenda!

Deluded completely, democracy the remain way!

It doesn't matter what the government promised on the referendum, Parliament is Sovereign and that's all there is to it. If we can stop Brexit', or at least water it down, and Brexiteers blame Tory incompetence then that's no skin off my nose. Plenty of people were sold on Brexit' because lies like how millions would be diverted to the NHS every week if we left, even though Farage and Brexit' Tories want to destroy the NHS. When the recession caused by Brexit' kicks on I think plenty of leave voters will realise the disaster they've contributed to.

So let's get this straight, you discount 2 parties whose official policy is to leave the EU, but include parties such as the SNP and The Greens who would undoubtedly have had people vote for them for reasons other than brexit.
Yep you have us bang to rights there.

https://news.sky.com/story/brexit-party-meps-turn-their-backs-on-eus-ode-to-joy-anthem-in-european-parliament-11754995

A story of BP MEPs turning their back on the EU anthem ode to joy. A photo has been circulating on the twitter of Nazi party members turning their back on the Reichstag in the 1920s/1930s.

A ridiculous comparison of you ask me.

Where is there a mention of the Nazis? I'm sure someone could post a photo of the Nazis saluting "Germany above everything" alongside the eurocrats enjoying Beethoven too.

I think it a fair enough principle to turn your back if mandated to stand. It's not violent, doesn't disrupt anything (whether the media choose to pick up on that instead of more material issues is on the media editors) and shows what they (don't) believe in.

Which press sources compared the Brexzit Party to the Nazi Party?

The eu played their "National Anthem" meaning that all the Country's become one nation.

When the Champions League play their anthem before matches, does that mean all teams become one?

Since they bring Hitler into this (Godwins law). Farage and co. stood up in respect of an anthem but do not accept it as an National one and have been elected to opposed ideals of the EU ever closer union.

It is not a "National Anthem". Farage does not "respect" anything to do with the EU, except the fat cheque he hypocritically accepts every month.

Now on the day I was listening to LBC where Ann widdecombe and a lib dem MEP was, shouting at each other about this. In honestly the lib dem was the most unliberal and adult about this event, the irony.

As for the Brexit party [accepting money to attend the EU parliament], it's not quite as bad. After all their whole existence is formed of not wishing to belong to the EU,

The safety valve on my Acme Irony-o-Meter™ has just blown off!

Of course it matters because it shows the context which the referendum was implemented!

Trying to use smoke and mirror tackics to avert away from this by talking about what tories or Farage want to do us totally irrelevant. I'm a socialist I've never voted tory in my life, Brexit is nothing to do with the left vs the right in any case. But all of those debates are completely irrelevant. Referendum was sold as a once in a lifetime choice that will be implemented, the fact is you dont like it and don't want to abide by democracy that keeps disagreeing with you, vote after vote!

No, Parliament is Sovereign and no referendum in the UK has legal force, that's all there is to it. If a government has 'promised' something that's their error.
