GCSE Results Day is now 40 days away. I know some of you are struggling with patience and the waiting as it is long. For some of you, GCSE Results Day is going to be a day of disappointment as it was for me last year as it could be bad news that you got lower than a 4 in many subjects and for the rest of you it will be one of the best days of your life as you may find out some good news like that you got all 7s and 8s and 9s in all your subjects. For all of us, what we do in September depends on these GCSE Results whether that is A-Levels or whatever and that is why the week after the GCSE Results are found out is known as Decision Making Week for Year 11. Most schools want you to decide what you want to in September on the same day as Results Day but some do allow you to think about for a few days and then come back. It is best to open your GCSE Results in school somewhere but that may be hard for some of you as you may not want to share them with many people except your parents, so for those people it would better to wait until you got home to open them. There are three ways of getting your GCSE Results and they are: going to your school physically and picking them up, asking your school to post them to you and asking your school to email them to you. The grade boundaries for every subject on every exam board will be released on results day morning at either 6am or 8am depending on the exam board and subject, all you have to do is on Results Day do a google search for “june 2019 gcse grade boundaries and then the exam board for the subject you want to find out about so if it is AQA put AQA” and then it should come up with a website that has all the GCSE grade boundaries for each subject in alphabetical order click on that and go down and note down the ones for the subject you are interested in.
In some cases you may have to put the subject in as well but that is only if it is a subject that is unusual in schools.
