You can vote in the leadership election. Probably a bit late for this one.

Definitely too late for this one.

I’m female.

Does it work the other way round?

As a male, I can confirm it would.
i'm thinking of joining too
Just thought of the biggest benefit, when you show someone your membership card they will instantly know that you're a knobhead.
To keep it balanced the same can be said of those holding momentum membership cards too.

Yeah. I’m gutted I didn’t think of joining back in March, it would have been nice to exercise the vote.

That said, better late than ever. Looking forward to being a member.
Look you aren't going to get a serious reply on here. Most people on TSR are the Tory demographic and probably live in Tory safe seat constituency. They might call Tories posh while they themselves are some upper middle class 'champagne socialist' who cry when getting a B in a pointless exam because they face no actual issues in life.

So enjoy.

(btw I'm not a Tory myself but this threat is full of ironic people)
Admittance to hell.
I have yet to think of a good reason to join. You won't have the opportunity to get rid of Boris Johnson until there is a general election, and anyone over 18 can vote in that.

For me it’s more the community aspect that I’m after.

I’ve already been invited to my first event since joining. Summer drinks and canapés.

I’m not sure if I will go though as I won’t know anyone...

Well if your joining for the community aspect then surely you should get to know them.

Go ahead and accept the invite.
You'll make plenty of new acquaintances in your local region and can learn a lot about community issues/opportunities.

No benefits, just a big target on your back saying "KICK ME - I HATE POOR PEOPLE"

As opposed to antisemites, Trotskyists and IRA lovers?

Hey! What's wrong with Trotsky?

On a political level- almost everything.
He was an orthodox marxist and revolutionary.
Become prime minister??

Still don't see anything wrong with that. Revolution is what brings socioeconomic change! Marxism is for the greater good of all workers!

Not everyone subscribes to socialist and communist agendas

Have you thought of joining SWP?
History shows us that revolution brings chaos, criminal carnage, authoritarian rule and usually a bloodbath/mass human rights abuses.
