Hi there,

Hoping I can offer some information.

A small number of NHS organisation have started to offer nursing degree apprenticeships and they normally take 4 years to complete.

You will need a level 3 qualification such as A-levels or a BTEC Extended Diploma at level 3 in a related subject. Many of those going through the nursing degree apprenticeships have started out in a lower level apprenticeship in healthcare or the nursing associate apprenticeship and have progressed through their employer.

Vacancies are generally advertised on the Find An Apprenticeship website - https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship or on NHS Jobs.

That's great that you've got an interview, well done.

The skills for health website has some case studies related to NHS apprenticeships - you might be interested to look at the one for Sunderland as that has some interviews with nursing degree apprentices talking about their experience on the programme.

All the info I have stumbled across so far seems to talk about apprenticeships over 4 years but this one is over three.... perhaps I need to be patient and see what’s what at the interview day!
