Ethnic diversity in Boris’s cabinet

This week saw Boris put together one of the most ethnically diverse cabinets in British history and yet we’ve always been told that the Tory party is a party of racists.

How was this lie born?

Javid and patel are always being criticised for being conservative because apparently they've been brainwashed to integrate with rich white people.
the left is a cancer and is racist because they think poc can't think for themselves

yeah stay silent corbyn lover.
Other than Sajid Javid being Chancellor, all the jobs given to women and ethnic minorities are the ones in government that do not involve Brexit negotiations and where no politician can really ever get credit. A Home Secretary will never make friends whatever they do about migration, for example.

Of course it's positive that race is no longer an issue in making appointments, though believing there's an obligation to appoint MPs who are part of ethnic minorities despite some of their terrible records is misconstrued. Patel is clearly corrupt, defying code of conduct and opening a channel to Israeli representatives about development in the Golan heights, already showing she has an abysmal subservience to Israel further perpetuating the Tories' awful foreign policy record. Also she is employed by Viasat, making £1,000 an hour for her work, she is essentially a lobbyist for them, her priority shifts from her constituents to her employer so that she can continue getting paid to push for spending in the defence sector that will neglect the 14 million who are in poverty. Javid similarly is a less than favourable figure, defending Farage and the Brexit party when they propagate hate speech towards immigrants. The fact Johnson is appointing ethnic minority ministers serves as a smokescreen to present the tory parting as evolved. But the reality is that over 60% of the tory party members elected a man who compared Muslim women wearing a Niqab to a bank robber or a letterbox. Islamophobia and Xenophobia is still present within the Conservative party and UK politics as a whole, don't let this "progressive" streak of appointments lead you to think otherwise.
Trying to act "I'm not a racist".
The first muslim transgender PM will be a conservative to own the Labour Party.
Just goes to show that no matter where you come from or whatever your background you too can become a shill for neoliberalism and Zionism.

Because the Conservatives, in the past, were far less liberal than they are now and were a lot more racist.

Who is telling you that the Tory party is the party of racists today? I think that crown would go to the BNP, if it still exists, or to a lesser extent UKIP/Brexit Party.
