I can take you to 4 "Unmarked junctions" within 5 miles of where I live in the UK. They are all on minor roads.

I find the whole concept of right of way a bit silly. I try to drive at all times in a way that minimises the chance of an accident.

As a general rule of thumb, whoever gets to an unmarked junction first gets to go first.
If both vehicles get there at the same time, then both should stop and one should proceed only when it's clear that the other is giving way.

Or in Albania, the local custom is for both cars to go slowly onto the junction at the same time and whoever gets their nose in front first gets off the junction first.

That's not strictly unmarked road, mate. You can clearly see remnants of paint there, it's just severely neglected and likely hasn't been painted or tarmacked in decades, the tarmac is a mess. Also you can clearly see by the way the road is paved which part is the main road and the other parts are two side roads, so how it should work will be clear to anyone who holds a licence and has a bit of common sense. What OP is proposing is a crossroads with no lights.

How it should work to anyone with some common sense - and not to someone just trying to win an argument to back up an incorrect statement that they made earlier - is that it is an unmarked junction.

Imagine going to court and trying to argue that you had right of way "because of the way the tarmac was laid". You'd be laughed out of court.

The reason for a junction being an unmarked one is immaterial. It doesn't matter if it's the result of years of neglect or not. The fact of the matter is that today, this junction is unmarked and should be treated as such by all who drive across it.

The drawing in the link provided by the OP was a drawing showing no clear give way markings. The fictional junction shown in that link should be treated the same as the real life junction shown in my link, as explained in this youtube video (which also contains a real life UK unmarked junction).

They have similar junctions in South Africa. They are called four way stops. Whoever gets there first goes first. Does lead to a bit of aggression sometimes.

In this scenario and I am thinking where I live in Sussex, we have country lanes like this. Car A would go first. Straight on priority. Crossing traffic second
