Honestly, in the situation of the pregnant woman I'd be tempted just to run them over. Bloody hell if you stand in a road don't be too shocked if a car hits you. Didn't we used to teach people not to stand in traffic, now it seems to be a popular thing to do.

Some times you almost have to admire the American/French approach to this where their plods simply crack out the fire extinguishers full of pepper spray and let rip at these malcontents.

Children off their heads, been saying for a while we should put an end to this because it's only going to get worse. They're all lefties too, part of the progressive plan to replace reality with something more useful to their thirst for power. Happening in every front right now.
Climate change ain’t important. There are more important issues like war and poverty and genocide
Protesting over climate gonna change it, #impressing.

Yes I have no issue with the protests, just when they stop people getting to work or to hospital is when it's wrong, sooner or later someone is gonna run them over
Nothing new
someone will get hurt soon.

You should have seen the amount of rubbish they left behind at a recent protest in Cardiff. Looked like a festival. The story you mention is appalling. Not giving themselves a good rep at the moment are they.
More people are dying to knife crime in London than climate change in the UK. Why aren't these people protesting about knife crime?

Probably because most people including the government ignore the issue of climate change even though in 12 months the damage will be irreversible.

Exactly. The protests continue despite progress being made and climate awareness being at it's height. Meanwhile countylines, knife crime and gang culture continue in the background. Maybe people should start protesting about the issues that affect the here and now. Unfortunately, there's less interest and self gratification in these causes.

Legislated on carbon emissions, raised the profile, continued to participate in treaties, The Climate Change Act. At present, energy should be put into tackling immediate problems that are devasting society.
Surely blocking roads and causing traffic jams is worse for the environment than just letting people go about their business? Behaving like this doesn't convince anyone to take your cause seriously.

But none of that is combating climate change. It's just slowing it down and not even by much. No real effort into clean energy sources. I do agree that knife crime is a serious issue that needs to be tackled but at least the government recognises it as an issue. They don't with climate change and many more people will die from climate change related issues than knife crime in the near future.

Is that why renewable source electricity energy generation in the UK has gone from about 10% in 2010 to about 40% now, while fossil fuel use in generation has fallen from 60% to 40%?

Protesting and disrupting in a country that is actually doing rather a lot is risible.
