World Studies EE Research Question

Is this okay as a research question: To what extent were the Indonesian Riots in 1998 the result of Suharto’s anti-Chinese legislations?

The interdisciplinary subjects that I’ll be using is Psych and History, and the global issue is discrimination/violence.

I think it is a good title - maybe put one or two more keywords in that show your global issue IS discrimination/violence, or that you use psych

Would the 1998 riots be considered a contemporary issue, even though it technically didn’t happen in my lifetime ?

I actually don't think that it is contemporary. Could you link them to an issue that is occurring NOW?
