Which University for Law?

I’m thinking of going to The university of Law and since it’s a private university I was wondering if I will be supported by student finance and get a loan for that university or will I have to pay out of my own pocket?

It will be fine assuming you are eligible for student finance in the first place.

For a uni experience, then I would think about looking at larger more traditional unis on the basis of student life and facilities. I also assume we are talking undergrad or is it the LPC?

I’m taking the undergrad. I’m going to study law and I’m not sure which uni is the best out of The university of law , Westminster and Roehampton based on uk university rankings and which uni do employers look at for a higher chance of employment between these 3 universities.

Are you an international student? I get the feeling international student or one desperate to study in London?
What grades do you have?
What start are you aiming for?

Post on Legal.
Have you been to the open days for all three?
Are you wanting to join the profession?
I dont think it will make much difference, but you can ask the unis themselves how many get tcs and pupillage.
My point v Uni of Law is thats all it does, so they are specialist rather than being a wide ranging uni.
I suppose Westminster, but you might be n touch for places like City who are always in clearing.
Talk to the student Law society and let them make the best pitch to you.
Title edited and moved to Law

Are you at school at the moment and if so, what year are you in @Zoe.1004?

It’ll be supported by student finance if you’re eligible and the university comes up on ucas. My friend in college applied at a university which wasn’t listed on ucas and he wasn’t eligible to pick a insurance choice because his first wasn’t on ucas.

They all appear very low ranked. Why are you limiting it to these three?

Quite.I would resit or at least be more open minded.
I’m pretty sure Manchester is higher ranked than this uni if I’m not mistaken
... because it’s particularly good in its law sector. A lot of people I know looked into it for law as we did law in college. Didn’t exactly see a problem talking about law in a law thread but my bad I’ll dip. 🤷🏽*♀️

They have low entry requirements and I just wanna know which one out of the 3 is best because I have to make my decision by today. I put Westminster as my firm but I’m having second thoughts now. I chose these unis because they seem like a safe option to go for

If it is really just between those 3, I would choose Westminster. What do other people think?

The **** is up your ass. No I decided to move from Antarctica after studying law of the penguins.
And you think telling them that their uni is **** is just as good? What a melt.

Lolled. You tell him!

I dunno the answer, tbh.

So many variables. ULaw might have some actually decent students, but you are not going to a real uni and so you will lose out on the social aspect. Really the academics at all are pretty w*nk.

Your employment prospects won't be materially affected by the uni you attend; it will be done by you doing the work behind the scenes. ULaw at least has some good students, so might have a better rep.

I’m looking to apply to unis that are close to my house and the tops ones aren’t that close so that’s one of the reasons why I chose these universities compared to Oxford for example and another reason is that these universities are a safe option I would rather apply to universities with low entry requirements than apply for high and then get rejected or not get a place through clearing and have to waste a year of my life to reapply next year
