A-Level Results Day (15th August 2019) - Post Your Results!

A-level results day is coming around so it's time for our yearly Post Your Results thread. You can use this thread to let us know how you get on, to meet future course-mates and celebrate your accomplishments! This thread is specifically for A-level results. People getting AS results can check out our AS results thread. Feel free to post here if you're in year 12 or earlier and are sitting some A-levels early.

Results day can be an overwhelming time. Need help understanding your results? Check out our FAQ here.

Didn't do as well as you hoped? There's no need to worry - there are always alternatives. Get advice from the community here! You might also want to check out our guide to Clearing.

Good luck and we hope everyone ends up on a path they're happy with!

I only took Math IAS this year as i am still in grade 11, i took it before the syllabus change (i did the international version) and i am scared ****less. I seriously want a B total so badly the C12 exam was eh? Like not amazing but not the worst so i might get a low A or high B but i took M1 AND AAAAAAAAAAAA IT WENT SO BADLY like i am sure i got a D or E so i am hoping for at least a B total (hoping the C12 saves me).

My teacher made me take the AS now cause he thought i was bright in math cause i did my math & Further maths IGCSE in grade 10 (got A*, A) so he thought i would be perfect to take it before the syllabus change but if i do not get at least a B I'll just repeat it with my other a levels like everyone else

Also if you are wondering why i did so badly it was cause i didn't really study for it as i was still doing rest of my IGCSE's (Arabic, Biology, Chemistry, English, Physics and Travel & Tourism) so they were more important to me than the AS level as i can still repeat it next year

sending luck and good vibes to you for tomorrow. Also AS is chill trust me, unis dont look at them anymore
A level subjects: Biology, English Language, Maths (all CIE)
Predicted Grades: AAB respectively (but was hoping for an A* in bio)
Achieved Grades: ABB
Uni accepted into: Abertay

Plan B (if missed offer): Would have tried going through clearing

How you feel now that its over!? Disappointed - I got the grades I wanted in all my mocks, studied so much and then managed to f*** up the real thing in bio and eng lang. Might go through clearing anyway because I've had a change of heart regarding my subject, or just reapply, but I'm scared I won't get a place next year.

I had applied to foundation chemistry, I cancelled my applications months ago, I don't want to do a foundation year. Now I'm going to resit to get AAA and apply to normal chemistry for the next UCAS cycle
