Why is all music trash

I don’t even know what to listen to anymore, everything’s ****e. Any good recommendations or playlists? Am I just listening to the wrong stuff

You obviously haven’t heard of Ariana Grande and Chris Brown.
Try some metal you never know you might enjoy it.
The view that "music is trash" is common because the music we're exposed to more often is Top 40 music which has been carefully edited to pander to the lowest common denominator so as to shift more sales and units. The idea that "music is trash" is simply not true. If you move away from what the radio generally plays you can find some of the most inventive and carefully thought out pieces.

There's lots of good music in every genre, but for the sake of proving the "modern music sucks" theory wrong, I'm going to give great albums released in the last 5 years.

All of Janelle's albums are fantastic (especially The ArchAndroid) but this is the more poppier one so it's easy to get into.

One of the better Tyler albums, just all round enjoyable. Lots of emotion and great production.

Malibu Ken - Self Titled (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-BXexG2E8c)

Hip hop combining glitch-hop. Great bars from Aesop Rock.

Kids See Ghosts - Self Titled (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnZQvgWhM5s&list=OLAK5uy_lCQIipymSm8jFCYtkwOMZ84L3EgjqGfdk)

Kanye and Cudi made a killer record here. Lots of fantastic psychedelic material.

SOPHIE - Oil Of Every Pearl's Uninsides (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AC8h4HnWyys)

This is a FREAKY pop album. I'd come back to this when you have better experience of more experimental music. Either way, you might enjoy it.
