AS Results' Impact on Cambridge Application

My AS grades are as follows: A in Economics, D in Further Maths, B in History, A in Maths, B in Physics. Next year I will be completing the full A-levels in Economics, Further Maths, History and Maths. I also have an A* in EPQ.

Are my grades good enough to get into Cambridge to study Economics?

You're competing against people who have 4 A*s at AS, your best bet is to apply and if you don't get an offer then get A*s at A level and reapply year after.
I mean if ur predicted grades are A*A*A or better, then I don’t see a reason as to why not apply. Getting in is obviously a whole different game

My school has a policy of using your AS grades as your A-level predictions. I guess it's not worth applying then(?).

Cambridge are looking for 90 UMS at AS level.

I mean I’m only guessing but I don’t think that would cut it but I’m not an admissions tutor obviously. But if u really still wanna go for Cambridge , applying post a levels could be an option if u think u could match or exceed the A*A*A they want.

AS examinations don’t have A*s. The highest grade is an A.

UMS is uniform mark scale.It converts raw marks into a uniform mark.Look at old threads on TSR for detailed explanation.

Wait until you get your full A level results, and then apply if you've got more than the minimum requirements. You aren't competitive at the moment.
