doing A Level Biology, Chemistry and Geology

I got 8 7 in Combined
7s all through out for Maths, Geography,Sociology,Computing and RE
6s for both English Lang and Lit and Drama

How does this grading system work is 1 the equivalent of a A? Wasn't like this in my day dunno why they changed a simple mark scheme to this bs.

A 7 is an A. A grade 1 is a very low grade. Search it up for the equivalents.
