Should I buy textbooks for my GCSE subjects?

Hi!
I am a yr 10 starter and I'm just wondering if i should buy textbooks for my GCSE subjects. Today was my first day of school however teachers told us nothing about textbooks. Should I buy textbooks?

Thank You

Honestly I found that revision guides explained things much better and removed lots of extra unnecessary information so really help you to learn what you actually need to know.

Definitely go for revision guides! I found the CGP ones really helpful.

But don't buy CGP revision guides for English (apart from maybe poetry).

Yes. You can’t revised what you haven’t learnt. Use a textbook to study and then a revision guide to condense it
