With an àccess course and advanced learner loan if you go on to complete a degree the loan doesn't have to be paid back.
But what if you defer for a year does this cause any issues? Will I have to pay it back due to deferring is there anything in the terms and conditions about deferring entry.

No issues. Repayments dont kick in till you start earning £25k+. I assume you wont be, even then its only 9% of the excess.
