I was also trying to decide between two colleges (New and Balliol) so I just need up writing a massive pro-con list and New won by a mile so I thought I might as well apply there. Hope this helps

Omg my sister is at Birmingham Uni right now in her first year of doing Music, she is literally having the best time of her life. She’s joined lots of clubs & societies and is getting involved in lots of the drama productions as well, the campus is stunning, the library is insane, there is a cute lil market every now and again and literally all of her roommates are best friends, their whole block throws parties but then at the same time she’s found everyone there cares deeply about education too. If you haven’t visited the Uni yet for an open day or anything, I really recommend it! She’s never been happier tbh
