So..University is going to start next week on Monday and I'm not feeling scared or nervous at all but I think i will be on the day! What usually happens on the first day of freshers week?
You move. You meet flatmates. Parents have a drink with you. Next week you say hello to many people and you go through where are you from, what course are you doing, what A levels and grades did you get ad nauseum. You might look around (if single ) to see whether there are any prospectives or people you might want to be friends with. You might decide you dont like it and leave one of your parents to do your course whilst you slope off back home.

So basically, a lot! But nerves won't last for long. It can be easy to feel slightly overwhelmed but it is an extremely fun experience and you learn so much, make friends for life, and have the opportunity to really enrich yourself!

Just make an effort to socialise and dont be shy, then you will be fine. If you run off back home all the time rather than make friends you will find it tougher. Chat with coursemates, join clubs and go to events.
