it depends where you post, in fairness, since how many points you get from a rep depends on the repper's rep level. Some forums (like study help and uni forums) are frequented a lot more by one-time visitors who would give 0 or 1 points.
Plus if you state the blindingly obvious in a debate/troll thread you're much more likely to be repped thirty times or whatever than if you help someone with their maths homework
