Goin cinema alone

So I'm an i8 yr old female, I want to watch a horror movie but my friends either dont like horror movies or haven't got enough money/haven't been paid yet to go with me. I want to watch the movie whilst its still screening at cinemas but I've literally got no one to go with..well no one except my dad I'm debating on whether on not to go alone...i dont know what to do...should I go with my dad or go alone?...

Do you get along with your dad?
does he enjoy horror movies too?
if so there is nothing wrong with going out with him to see a movie.
Well thats what i'd say anyway.
What if you go on a Tuesday or Wednesday and use meerkat movies so you could pay for a friend but it’d still be the same price you were going to pay for yourself anyway.

Nothing wrong with going to the cinema alone. Alot of people do it. No one notices or tbh even cares. If you book online, you’ll also be able to see the people who have booked single seats and are also going alone. If you wanted, you could book the same row and a few seats away. Otherwise theres also nothing wrong with going with your dad either.
I go to the cinema on my own a lot. It’s dark and nobody else cares... they are all concentrating on the film
What's wrong with going to the cinema alone o,o

As a person who literally has no one to go with, it's the best!
Going on your own is fine. I’ve never got why going to the cinema is a social outing. You all sit in the dark in silence watching a film, nothing about that is really socialising to me. No one cares if you’re on the phone they’re watching a film and it’s dark, they will only care if you’re in your phone or talking (I’m a shhhhher and don’t care). Go enjoy yourself and watch the film

Yeah defo go on your own if you want to see the film! I went to a horror theatre show alone and it was pretty enjoyable. You sort of make a unspoken connection with everyone else in the room when you're all screaming and laughing together anyway lol.
I like and actually prefer to go cinemas alone . I feel truly comfortable and relaxed whilst watching it without people I know watching me /judging my reactions or my face XD

Sometimes I go to the cinema alone if I really want to watch the film. When the film is on, most people are sat in the dark, quiet, focused on the screen so it doesn't make any difference. That being said, if your dad likes horror movies you could go together with him.
Wish I went alone when Midsommar was in but no balls over hea.

That being said, if it's a film your dad would actually like then go with the bloke. Good times, innit?
Honestly, I think it's a great opportunity for you to take some time alone! Have fun, treat yourself, who knows maybe there's some stuff around too, you could follow it up with a mani/pedi or something of those sorts!
But wouldn't it be weird when gettin your snacks/tickets...like the people working there might find it weird....

They see it all the time/Don’t care/Less people to serve

You really gonna let what other people think control how you live Your life? Really?
You are full-aged with 18 years, so it is your decision. But I can understand your dad's worries: after what I learnt from listening to radio about young girls in the 20s being raped, I would be afraid you, if I were him.

Hes not afraid for me lol...I basically went on about the movie for like a week and he asked me how it was and I told him the situation...and he offered to go...and I said I'd think about it...

Not a single person actually thinks that, We don't need to be surrounded with others all the time.
People assume everyone else is looking and judging them but the truth is, nobody cares.
No one really cares if you go by yourself, they're too busy concentrating on the movie.
Sweetie, no one gives a shïte. They’re too busy watching the film AND you’ll never see those people again so who gives a rat’s arse. Also, if you’re self conscious about entering the theatre and having everyone see you’re alone then be one of the first people to go in and sit at the back or something.
Personally I'd say the question is would you enjoy it more going alone, or going with your dad? If the former, go on your own, if the latter, then take him up on the offer to go with you.

Ultimately, no-one will care that you've gone to the cinema alone - the other people seeing the film won't even notice, and the cinema staff will have seen so many people do the same, that none of them will think you are weird

No they don't. They are just glad of the custom.
