Ion sheet GCSE 9-1 Chemistry Exam

Do we get a sheet showing us the charges of different ions in the chemistry GCSE?

Thanks in advance
Not as far as I'm aware. You can however deduce charges from the periodic table.

But how do you know the charge for ions containing more than one atom?

Look at the data sheet, it will be near the back of your spec.

If it is AQA, don't bother looking - the answer is, "No".

You're probably talking about compound ions. You don't get a sheet in the exam but they're not hard to learn.

The only ones you should need to know are these:

Ammonium - NH4 +
Hydroxide - OH -
Nitrate - NO3 -
Sulphate - SO4 2-
Carbonate - CO3 2-
Phosphate - PO4 3-
Hydrogen Carbonate - HCO3 -

But, probably not phosphate.
