Hi, I'm really interested in doing film studies at uni. I want to go to a good university (russell group or something), so which one is best? Is it better to apply for film school?Realise it's a subjective answer, but would appreciate some advice
Then generally a practical film production degree at a CILECT member film school would be better preparation than a theoretical film studies degree. It’s possible to get work in the film industry with a theory based degree but you make your life more difficult.
Well, what do you think you superlative dunce? Obviously that's the plan. No? Maybe he wants to work in a match factory? Idiot.
Not everyone who studies film wants to work in the film industry. Many approach it as an academic subject which is why many unis offer theoretical film studies rather than practical film production courses. Idiot.
