That's how he does his first lesson on the E string..
Practicing that for now before going onto next lesson.
Bought a Squire Affinity Stratocaster HSS

That’s a really cool guitar! I have an acoustic Ibanez. Sounds like a nice tutor, can you link me to his YouTube account please?

We’re actually not as rare as you think.

Maybe, but they are not as well known as guitarists such as Slash or Jimi Hendrix.

That’s true for the past, but in quite a few modern day bands there are many female guitarists.

My focus is classical guitar and there are quite a few female classical guitarists that I could name. Iliana Matos, Kyuhee Park, Tatyana Ryzhkova, Ana Vidovic etc. Though I admit most classical guitarists are unknown to the general public anyway

Is it better to learn on an acoustic or electric guitar? I am really tempted to buy an electric guitar! Or an electro acoustic?

If I was to buy an electric/electro acoustic will I need to buy an amp as well? I assume they don’t need tuning? What are the benefits of having an electric or electro acoustic over the standard acoustic guitar?

I know that Ibanez is a good brand, but what are the others?

I don't like Ibanez. My fave are ESP and Charvel, personally

Ye will need an amp and the guitar will of course need tuning

Oh ok. Just thought that since it was electric it might automatically tune whenever plugged in.

No, this is not a thing unless you have a specialist system on the headstock (you almost never see it, I have been gigging for 18 years and I have only ever seen two)

What’s wrong with Ibanez?

I don't like the position of the cutaway and I don't like the stock finish on most of their necks and fretboards

I own a six string Ibby and a seven string Ibby and both are exceptions to the rule. Could be worse could be Jacksons

You will eventual find a brand/model that fits you
