Edexcel A-Level Maths A2 resit inquiry (Private Candidate)

Hi, I did A-Level Maths in 2018 (AS in 2017 and A2 in 2018). I did AS in 2017 (2008 spec) which includes C1 (6663), C2 (6664) and S1 (6683). I did A2 in 2018 (2008 spec) which includes C3 (6665), C4 (6666) and S2 (6684). I want to know if I can retake A2 Maths of the 2008 spec (or the new spec) in 2020, and if so will it be valid to replace my current grade in A2 Maths (assuming it's better than the previous one) and add to my AS Maths grade to get a better grade overall in A-Level Maths in 2020.

If what I mentioned above is possible to do, is it also possible to retake individual*papers in A2 (C3, C4 or S2) in which I didn't perform well enough, so that they will replace the previous grades of those papers (assuming it's better) to get a better overall A2 grade, and will that mean It'll add to my AS Maths grade to get a better grade for the whole A-Level Maths.*

Thanks for replying.

Hi, you can't resit old spec anymore. If you need a better grade then your only option is to take new spec A Level maths. This is completely separate to AS Level maths now and you will not need to sit AS maths, only A Level maths (people used to old spec often find this confusing so please ask if you're unsure since it's very different to old spec). You take all of the exams for A Level maths in one sitting so you can take them all at the end of 2020. If you need more details I recommend looking through the spec e.g. Edexcel:

Or ask here if you have any more questions.
