Should I learn Python 2 or 3?

I know that Python 3 is the latest version, but a lot of forums say that some companies use software that is only compatible with Python 2. Please advice on whether I continue learning Python 2 or should I switch to 3. If it helps, I'm planning for a career in either finance or software engineering, along with freelancing.

Python 3. Always learn the latest version as it will be most useful (they are basically the same thing anyway). By the time you're done an begin your career, python 4 will be out and everyone will be using python 3.
