There are videos of the shooting on twitter, looks like he had a knife so police shot him on the floor.

In its latest update, the Metropolitan Police said: "At this stage, the circumstances relating to the incident at London Bridge remain unclear.

"However, as a precaution, we are currently responding to this incident as though it is terror-related.

"One man has been shot by police.

"We will provide further information when possible."

Didn't look like it, but the police certainly didn't look like they wanted to take any chances. They fired quite a few shots.

Like I said there are lots of videos on twitter.

He was wearing a dark hoodie so a dark vest can be hard to see on shaky phone videos. Considering has was wielding a knife my guess would be it was a plate carrier vest.
