So im a 18-24 yo, making minimum wage (as a PhD student), went to an (average at best) state school. So I dont think I fit the traditional tory stereotype.

Why will I vote tory this election?
I personally believe we should have as much freedom as possible and the government should run the essentials and allow people to do what they want, Im also a big believer in the free market.

Labour has a track record of blowing through cash and creating a hole which then causes a need for austerity, Corbyns plan to borrow £250-400Bn over 10 years does just that creates a huge hole which will (when the bonds become due) be a nightmare (I also believe Labour will just keep re-issueing bonds to plaster over the problem until a breaking point which inevitably is just more austerity a decade or 2 from now).

Additionally I find Corbyn even more unelectable:
He can go out and have meals with the UAE, attend a memorial service and lay a wreath with Hamas, but alienates and protests against Trump coming for a state visit.
The whole Labour front bench is completely incompetent, and I think its reckless to allow Dianne Abbott anywhere near a ministerial position.

I also cant get over the hypocrisy, im not even against private schools or friends helping friends but Corbyn went to a school which cost £36K a year to attend, is a millionaire (who isnt taxing hoarded wealth, but attacking people whos assets are in the stock market and taxing people 45 & 50% rates who are far far less wealthy than himself and makes out their the problem...). Additionally his son is chief of staff to McDonnell (hes 27, how did he climb the ladder so fast?), he preaches equality of opportunity but his actions are very different.

Additionally, I heard he got 2 Es at A-level & he failed to complete his degree at West London uni (West London!!!) i dont think this in itself is that bad (and dont want to bash the uni) but I do wonder how bright he is, and if hes actually smart enough to manage a position of such importance.

Most people in this country do not have freedom when they have such insecure lives - it's only freedom for the exploiters.

Low paid jobs, zero hours contracts where you may have to pray you'll get more than a few hours a week but can't do other work because you have to be 'available.'

40 % of the population having no savings and / or massive personal debt. Scared to death of being caught in the debt trap ( Pay Day loan companies charging unto 3,000% interest).

Is it better for the people of this country for the Government to borrow at 0.76% ( the current rate, less than inflation) and use the money to provide social housing at cheaper rents, grants for students so they don't have enormous debts, cheaper bus and rail fares, Education maintenance `grants for 17-18 year olds, cheaper energy bills or is it better for individuals to borrow at 18. 20 22% + on their Credit cards or 3,00 0% to Loan Sharks? The money peoples will be recycled into our economy as they will be able to buy goods etc.

Enormous crippling rents / sofa surfing / the impossibility of ever buying your own place.

Vicious benefit rules if your lose your job / become ill.( A wait of 5 weeks for Universal Credit - if you're lucky!) people deemed fit for work by ill qualified assessors etc. and dying while waiting for help.

( You ned to check the facts. The Labour Governments have been more responsible and successful financially than Conservative Governments. Don't believe Tory propaganda.)

Jeremy Corbyn went to Castle House Preparatory School then at 11 into the State System to a Grammar School. ( Btw I don't think you can blame him aged 5 or his parents' choice of school! ) Subsequently reputedly he split from his wife because he wanted their son to go to the local comprehensive. Both he and Mc Donnell publish their tax returns each year. Sounds as though he stands by his principles to me.

The Labour front bench has eg Sir Keir Starmer KCB twice voted Barrister of the Year, Emily Thornberry ( human rights' barrister for 20 years), John Mc Donnell BSc, MSc GLC Chair of Finance, Chief Exec of Association of London Authorities etc, Barry Gardiner - Unis - St Andrews, Cambridge , Harvard, Senior partner Shipping insurance/ arbitration , Rebecca Long-Bailey Solicitor specialising in Commercial Law, NHS Contracts etc.
Diane Abbot was the first black MP , took 75% of the vote increasing her vote by 12.2%, went to Cambridge.

Somebody obviously thought they were all competent enough!

How naïve you are... Nationalisation provides an attitude keep your head down and job for life. No incentive to improve. The NCB... the CEGB... British Rail... all went tits up because of this stupid attitude. Job for life and the govt will pay... as the miners discovered to their peril. No nationalised industry has ever been profitable... as the Russians discovered to their peril.

Don't we have a 'nationalised Army, Navy, Air Force ' aren't they very skilled, competent?

Some of the best schools in the country are ' nationalised '.

The NHS is nationalised. Doesn't stop their Surgeons, Nurses etc being among the best in the world.

They all have incentive to improve because of their professionalism.
No.

The core belief of British Conservatism is that of entrenched privilege over meritocracy.

Then there is their colossal track record of failure in terms of delivering policy pledges, financial mismanagement and anti-liberal paternalism.

I could never vote Conservative.

They are competent... but only because we throw money at them. They are far from profitable. If one throws money at everything... the money will finally run out!

Emily Thornberry, oh yeah I remember a real person that connects with the working classes.

Diane Abbott? one word, prick. ( And no that is not a race or sexist thing, she has put herself in the public eye and deserves to be judged thus).
Rebecca Long Bailey, momentum activist extrodinaire, yet again not someone who has ever experienced the harsh realities of the real world.
The Labour party is unfortunately full of champagne socialists that do not understand the plebiscite.

because any other vote for the other main partys is a vote for a terrorist sympathiser and anti-semite.

The terrorist sympathiser line has been a pretty moot argument ever since the Tories made a deal with the DUP...

Women drive badly... blacks drive badly. What chance did she have? She got into Cambridge? She can't even add up!

Agreed with all that. But I don't agree with the free free market. In theory it allows all to compete but in reality those at the top have the power and influence and use that to flatten the opposition. If the free market worked the tech industry wouldn't be dominated by only 4 - 6 players for example.
probably, I don't like labour, they annoy me too much.

If that were the profile for every Tory supporter they wouldn't be in power would they?

Lots of 'normal' people vote Tory. If you tried to understand why rather than immediately profiling you might have more success in persuading people!

Ordinary working people vote Tory for the same sort of reasons that they voted for Brexit.

Who specifically within the DUP are you alleging is a terrorist sympathiser or terrorist?
Or is it just a blanket insult to be directed at any and all DUP members, activists or voters.

Current members of the DUP had links to paramilitary violence during the Troubles. It's no secret.

My mother votes conservative because of the fact they are better at handling money than labour.

She would say that every time labour get in they create a mess which the conservatives have to clean up.

I love how widespread this myth is. It's now common knowledge that the conservatives are better for the economy even though its just not true. You have to admire their propoganda machine.

Or indeed the whole thing with the Saudis. Or that thing where they sent arms to "rebels" in Syria.

Yes - simply because Labour has a leader who is pro-terrorist and anti-semitic he wont deal with the the threat Islamic extremism poses and is simply complicit with it.

He said on camera just weeks ago I dont agree with the shoot to kill policy to deal with terrorists wtf!

Your first paragraph is entirely wrong. The second...... Well if the terrorist is on the ground and he has been neutralised then there is no need to shoot him. We don't have a death penalty in this country remember. Its not exactly legal to just go around blowing people to smithereens without justification. We're not America.

Im voting labour, it’s stupid voting for the conservatives considering they’ve been in power since 2010 and nothing has changed at all to believe their gonna go ahead with all of these so called things they’re promising if they remain in is silly.. they’ve had 9 years to do them

People are saying Corbyn is a “terrorist sympathiser” like the conservatives aren’t anti black, homophobic & rich biased 💭

They're also actual terrorist sympathisers tbh. They are friends with the Saudis who directly fund and support Isis.
