Examples of rural regeneration?

Trying to find comparisons for my coursework and struggling pretty badly

I don't think so? It's just for my a level coursework. One of my sub questions is suggesting how a town in wales could be regenerated but I need rural regeneration case studies for comparison. What is the environmental stewardship scheme ?

The Environmental Stewardship scheme was set up to provide land owners and farmers additional income for managing and improving the rural environment which they would not otherwise get money for. This kind of work included maintaining natural borders such as hedgerows or traditional dry stone walls, improving soil quality while reducing erosion, protecting traditional field features such as ridge and furrow and lot things designed to maintain rural areas and wildlife.

It is used as a way to reduce the commercialisation of the rural environment which can lead to poor environmental outcomes.

If you are looking more at the built environment I would suggest something more like this.

Look up SEZs (special economic zones) this is to do with attracting larger companies to base themselves in rural areas
Also, better connectivity is always a go-to, increasing accessibility between rural and urban areas
