Family planning debate

Hello, what are some negatives of family planing to control population.

some reasons I found are:
- you lose your right to self-determination
- side effects from using contraceptives
how does one lose "right to self-determination"?

Maybe he's referring to state-imposed family planning laws like China's two-child policy?

oh I see
No means of prescribed or purchased contraception has a 100% success rate.
Some suggestions are about as effective as fairy dust from tinkerbell's wings, particularly pull out and natural contraception apps.
Most conception involves either hormones or other chemicals that come with a risk of side effects including: pain, weight gain, nausea, increased blood pressure, skin blemishes, pelvic infection, displacement, ectopic pregnancy or womb damage.

Can also be indicative of a form of government that favours excessive state intervention into the private lives of law abiding adult citizens.
Risk of totalitarianism and ethical problems.

It was a two-child policy initially, then they made it a one-child policy. Then in 2016 they made it a two-child policy again.
