I take a shower every two weeks

I keep on procrastinating to take a shower. I always tell myself I will but my body just doesn’t follow through. I think I’m naturally a stinky boy. What can I do to change this?

Have a shower? Not hard. You need to change your routine as that’s so unhygienic and unhealthy.
to help become not ‘stinky’? have a shower. that’s the only way forward.
wtf wtf wtf how is this even possible

I want to change but my body just doesn’t move. I lay down the whole day and struggle to stand up and move.

What do you mean? Get up of your arse and go into the bathroom and have a shower?
People being insensitive here...

Is it just showering you procrastinate? Do you have depression? I sometimes go 6 days without showering. Getting up to shower can be really hard when you have depression

It sounds as though you may not be very well.
I’d recommend you visit your gp. There may be physical or mental issues so we can’t possibly even begin to guess. To have so little energy on a regular and prolonged basis is your cue to ask for some help
Do it soon
You sound depressed. I went into a deep depression and didn't shower for 3 months because I didn't see the point, this sounds similar. But seriously try to force yourself to get in, because it's not good. And seek treatment.

I do this too with depression, and it's the same with my room which gradually becomes a mess that I go to tidy, do a very little bit before lying down again in an even messier room

I know that showering is good for me and I always set myself targets to get up and do it but I keep telling myself “later” and I just never end up doing it or I end up doing it late in the night. I don’t think I have depression. I don’t socialise much and don’t really talk to people at all and so spend the bulk of my time alone. But I wouldn’t call it depression.

😬😬 I’d be too embarrassed to tell my GP my showering problems.

You said you lay in bed all day. What’s the reason for that???

Exactly how I feel. I have a such a “what’a the point” attitude towards everything in general. Again, I don’t think I have depression because I don’t always feel down. Just lazy.
I work in stables and wash my hair about once a year. A good brush and tick repellent otherwise works fine. I am a pensioner and still have lots of hair on my head... so have the horses.

Watching YouTube on my phone. I used to do a bunch of revision throughout the day and read some books but I’ve recently been procrastinating about those too.

You don’t need to specifically talk about showering
just how you’re feeling in general. You do need to go

Depression isn’t feeling down all the time... I’m not down ALL the time but I have severe depression. Do you have a few of these symptoms?

continuous low mood or sadness
feeling hopeless and helpless
having low self-esteem
feeling tearful
feeling guilt-ridden
feeling irritable and intolerant of others
having no motivation or interest in things
finding it difficult to make decisions
not getting any enjoyment out of life
feeling anxious or worried
having suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harming yourself

moving or speaking more slowly than usual
changes in appetite or weight (usually decreased, but sometimes increased)
constipation
unexplained aches and pains
lack of energy
low sex drive (loss of libido)
changes to your menstrual cycle
disturbed sleep for example, finding it difficult to fall asleep at night or waking up very early in the morning

not doing well at work
avoiding contact with friends and taking part in fewer social activities
neglecting your hobbies and interests
having difficulties in your home and family life
try wet wipes on your underarms, genitals ect
