Moving to practise medicine in Australia after FY1

Hi, I am looking to apply for a PGY2 post (UK equivalent of FY2) in Australia. I'm wondering if it is possible to do my FY2 year in Australia after FY1? I know many people who do it as a FY3 year but I'm considering to move to Australia permanently and do FY2 and further specialist training there instead. How easy is it to secure a PGY2 and specialist training posts as an IMG there? I'll be so grateful if someone can also shed some light on the application process. Thank you very much.

You need to contact your foundation school. Some of them might help you, but not all foundation schools will allow an F2 abroad, it usually says on their website.
