The success in the election showed how people are prioritising getting past the uncertainty and forgetting about other issues they would normally care about. Johnson will finally get Brexit done since he has a clear majority and a supportive party. Have hope for 2020.

They had a chance with Cameron, May and now with Johnson. I doubt they would get in 2020, they should also keep in mind of the other issues too. Depending on how they handle it, Brexit can either be a momentous disaster or success.

"one nation conservatism"

Which is a load of paternalistic, nanny state rubbish that assumes the working classes must have their decisions made for them. Whenever a Tory mentions how important ONC is to the Party, the sound you can hear in the background is Margaret Thatcher spinning in her grave.

The working class should make their own decisions and deal with the consequences.

Whilst the rich bear no loss a bit like in 2008.

The UK needs more rich people. All of the richest countries in the world, e.g. Singapore and Switzerland, have a high level of millionaires and even some billionaires. Low taxes for the rich helps to encourage them to stay in the country or move to it. They then buy luxury items or invest their money in local businesses, slowly trickling down money to the working class through jobs created by demand.

Lord and you are using Singapore as a shining example of a great economic model?

Trickle down economics is flawed, what actually happens is the gap between the richest and poorest grows and the poorest in poverty grow the most in numbers.

I'm not a victim. I just have strong beliefs for the Tories and have a hopeful future for them.

You certainly seem to be in love with right wing ideals, I'm just wondering why you are so happy with the current tory party that is in reality far closer to a 2000's new labour than a 80's Tories?

Have a debate with me then. Prove to me that you have the better reasoning and basis for your beliefs. Let me show you I'm worth the effort and serious about what I'm saying.

Dont bother mate, he's a legend in his own mind

I take it you dont want a detailed debate with me then?

I'm glad you see the reality that the One nation Tory party and New labour are twi cheeks of the same backside. To me we are still looking for this unicorn of a low taxation high public service economy that Blair sold us. It isnt possible you either go the democratic socialist way of a high taxation large state way or the Thacher way of a low taxation and small state with minimum services. The unicorn land in the middle dont exist.

However here we are electing Boris Johnson as he tries to deliver this unicorn, that might be strongly worded but that's the truth. You either have democratic socialism that works for everyone in the country or you have Thatcherism that works for a elite few or you go unicorn hunting and spend beyond your means and fall Into debt.

That's just the way it is

As I have explained to a MHoC Tory who shall not be named, you cannot cut taxes and raise spending for Our Beloved NHS at the same time. And, once you manage to put the (imaginary) UK as ruled over by the MHoC in a deficit of £60bn (as opposed to the real-life defecit of £35bn) you should also try and acknowledge you completely failed instead of asking the Libertarians to help you out.

Let me rephrase what I'm saying because you clearly made a certain impression of me. 1. Singapore is one of the most prosperous and safest countries on earth. It's GDP in 2000 was $96 billion, whereas in 2017 it was $324 billion. IT'S ECONOMY GREW BY 300% IN 17 YEARS!!! Compare that to the UK's which was $1.6 trillion in 2000, whereas in 2017 it was $2.6 trillion. THE UK'S ECONOMY ONLY GREW BY 60% IN 17 YEARS!!! The standards of living for the rich and poor have almost certainly improved in Singapore. 2. The more money the rich have, the more money they have to invest or spend on expensive consumer goods. This increases jobs and business creation, which allows for a growing economy. 3. A 2000's Labour government was better than it is now. Labour have gotten worse over the last decade, slowly becoming more left wing and demanding that the poor should have power over businesses, e.g. calls from Labour to allow tenants to buy the property they live at a special discount to others. 4. So you not even going to bother to have a discussion with me and just fob me off as some attention seeking idiot that knows nothing? You don't know what goes on in my mind and I'm not a legend - leave the legendary status to Boris Johnson (he's not the perfect leader).
