Currently doing A level Computer Science with OCR. Almost completed my coursework using python, pyglet and Tkinter (a maze game). Will start revision for theory after January. Hoping to get an A in this.

Howdy all, was wondering if you have any revision advice for paper 2's coding parts, pseudocode isn't really my best strength. :colondollar:

Honestly it's all about practice, try doing coding challenges where you write the psuedocode first and OCR have given a guide
https://www.ocr.org.uk/Images/260952-pseudocode-guide.pdf so maybe try some past papers using this

My advice would be to not get too hung up on the syntax. OCR has said they don’t care about how your pseudocode is written as long as it is interpretable and consistent.

I’m guessing you’ve already started the coding for the NEA - so just use that format of coding (or any you feel most comfortable doing) to tackle questions.

i did it a couple of days ago so i dont entirely remember, but there was a merge sort question with 6 pieces of data (i completely made a mess of it lmao) and there was also a dijikstra's shortest path algorithm qs which was easy if you know how to do it and show it to the marker, apart from that there was mostly a ton on pseudocode, so definitely just do some pseudocode revision/exercises. someone has a link ^^ i havent clicked it but see if it helps
