Generally HNDs require a level 4 qualification like a HNC first. But often if you're prepared to do the 2 year course, you will work towards a HNC in the first year.

That said, I think you may struggle to find anywhere that accepts 1 A-level. What subject will this be in? Is there any reason preventing you from doing another one or a BTEC National Diploma instead?
