Why the Tories are better for Britain

Its very simple if you want to work and get on in your life with more of what you earn then vote Tory.

If however you want to live your life off others people cash with the very generous welfare payments that enable you to have sky, booze and **** on tap with the promise of more unlimited benefits buffet then naturally you vote Labour. Essentially they bribe you to vote for them with other peoples cash! Then they wonder when it all runs out, how did that happen?

Its amazing in years gone by you would leave school at 16, fill a couple of forms in get a free council flat with spending money thrown in, then bang a couple of kids out when you needed a bigger place or more of other peoples cash to spend. How is that there are hundreds of thousands of welfare scroungers living rent free in Central London when working people cannot afford to live there? Any incentive to work, not really.

Why do the scroungers complain the foreigners are taking their jobs when they are better off not working? After brexit will they do their jobs? Give them a choice work or starve lets see what they do.

Amazing they claim mental health, fibromyalgia and other unprovable conditions to claim other peoples cash but when talk of their benefits being checked or cut they awake out of their slumber and start complaining to the media that others peoples cash may be taken away from them! Hypocrisy. Also they claim they are too depressed to work, or work makes them ill etc but they know to the absolute penny the amount they can get of other peoples cash its as if they somehow magic numeracy skills out of nowhere!

What a naive and short sighted veiw of the world, one day you will wake up unfortunately you will then be out numbered by other people with extremely short sighted people who believes what the newspapers and local bigots think.

No its the truth and thats why this country is falling behind as you are better off not working and simply claiming with one hand firmly fixed into another persons pocket.

The wise words gone by 'The reason why socialism fails is that you eventually run out of other peoples cash'. The labour party are on the way out and working people have had enough of seeing those that contribute nothing to society and never have being let of sitting on their backside or sleeping all day while the working folk walk past their front doors.

Choice in life - dont work, claim welfare get a free pad to live in Central London paid for by housing benefit or work, get no benefits and have a 2 hr commute to work to London everyday. I can see why people choose the former but its time to put that option out of the equation.

Only almost all of what you say is total fabrication! Meanwhile in the real world people who are suffering from lack of opportunity, your fake metal illnesses or simply have had the financial 'rug' pulled from under them are litterally a cold snap away from death. This demographic is disproportionately white men under 40.

Cry me a river. The poster you're replying to is absolutely spot on, and it's exactly the reason that Labour failed in the last election. I've said this before and I'll say it again. Working class people have changed what they want. They want to work hard, earn money, and spend that money. They do not want to prop up a welfare state which encourages people not to work. I am sick to death of my taxes paying for scumbags who do nothing better with that money than buy drugs, alcohol or tobacco. You're soft ass approach along with the reason of your liberal pals is why we have people like this, and why anti-social behaviour is rife in this country. People have no respect because there is no consequence to their actions, because you and your liberal chums are happy to give them a cookie and a hug and tell them they've got some medical condition, which they then in turn claim for, and they then in turn don't work, despite being perfectly capable. It's a revolving cycle.

Meanwhile, people like myself who are working class, and work long hours have to give up copious amounts of tax to pay for people to do the above. And before anyone goes on about levels of tax in nordic countries, and their welfare states, the big difference is the people. They don't have lazy, workshy scumbags. We have, and plenty of them.

You are so spot on Sir and I salute you, I was beginning to think my views represented the silent majority and we only felt safe representing our views at the ballot box!

Didnt the election result tell you bunch of welfare junkies that the idea of endlessly living off other peoples cash and picking and choosing which benefit handout to pick from the buffet is coming to a crashing end? Come on Boris we gave you the mandate time to finish this virus of laziness once and for all that runs rancid through great swathes of this nation. Lets cut the umbilical cord that these vermin have permanently attached to the taxpayer.

What excuse will the welfare junkies come up with this time? They have forgotten how to work?! Yeah aint that the paradox. Its like they all have an unwritten code of fake bs medical twattery that they use to claim other peoples cash ie. anxiety at thought of working hmmm, fibromyalgia a condition which medical experts say is bs but the welfare brigade latch onto to claim other peoples cash, add chronic fatigue syndrome into the mix and you have a princely sum every month! Am surprised Labour didnt offer them free cars, insurance, holidays etc etc isnt anything less austerity or poverty as they say?!

I hope the morning after the election the welfare brigade got a serious wake up call hopefully they realise the days of living off peoples cash are coming to an end. The jobs are there you have a choice do them or starve the taxpayer doesnt care! Also Boris while you at it lets clear Central London of these worskhy individuals living rent free in Central London and give those places to people that actually work and contribute. Working people have had enough of walking past these places where people are fast asleep while they walk to work. Essentially once they wake up if ever the biggest decision they have to make is how many **** or 6 packs of beer they need to swig that day and if they are bored they can go on claiming even more of the benefits buffet, anything less is austerity right! What a bizarre country this is.

Your short sighted right wing veiws really dont surprise me. From our conversations regarding Brexit is obvious how intolerable you find it when your warped view of the world is challenged.

I respect your right to hold your views, I just wish you would challenge yourself a little bit more rarther than take the "easy" option of entering mindless rants when your opinion is challenged or proven incorrect. Unfortunately your rants are baseless and show your lack of knowledge and foresight.

Showing concern for people who have litterally lost their homes, suffer illnesses, lack social/parenteral guidance etc, isnt crying a river! Its made worse by following your right wing social policies, which quite litterally will have resorted in a human being dying unnecessarily litterally, local to both of us within months or weeks of this message, isnt me crying a river it's me having my eyes open to the real world!

@borisj

Welfare junkies

Labour and the illiberal undemocratic party was rejected enmass last election "the brexit election" because of their unwillingness to follow their promises on Brexit, along with the continued lack of opportunity the working classes are feeling outside of the m25 ring. It wasnt a rejection of public services or the safety net to stop people getting into trouble if they fall on hard times.

After both your two rants, all you have done is add more because still almost all of what you say is still total fabrication! Meanwhile in the real world people who are suffering from lack of opportunity, your fake metal illnesses or simply have had the financial 'rug' pulled from under them are litterally a cold snap away from death. This demographic is disproportionately white men under 40 and that is quite simply a fact.

What about london and the larger cities? Do you think people are litterally choosing a life of crime which will almost certainly end up in stab wounds, prison and ultimately poverty? Ironically even though they believe they are doing it to get out of poverty! This demographic? Mainly black young males under 40.

Wake up, things are not always so simple as lazy man no work - bad, good man work - good. Taxes .. bad no taxes.... good

Just out of curiosity, could you answer me the following questions?
1. How many people of the 65 million people who live in the UK are sponging off the system and there dragging the whole country down as you say?
2. What proportion of the ~£850 billion total government spending goes on these people in your opinion?

I'm just curious.

Cry me a river take 2. What a load of baloni, the reason Labour got smashed up never to rule again was because of their communist leader throwing taxpayers money around like confetti to given even more money to the lazy underbelly of society who are so used to getting great swathes of other peoples cash to spend on essentials like sky, cigs and drugs. He promised to reverse the welfare changes from the previous government which would have made welfare highly lucrative compared to the current lucrative status it has now but taxpayers have had enough of subsidizing other peoples lives and they gave him a big red card. If welfare is so bad why are people on it for decades and are so desperate to hang onto it versus getting a job yet then complain foreigners are taking their jobs the lazy sods! The top 1% in this country pay 25% of the tax yet Jezza wanted more from them, hows about getting the millions that contribute zero to society and just bludge the system for decades to contribute something once in their lives?

Why do we have 3 millions workless households?
www.ons.gov.uk/employmentandlabourmarket/peopleinwork/employmentandemployeetypes/bulletins/workingandworklesshouseholds/julytoseptember2019

Why did a million people not even bother turning up to their disability assessments? Its as if they had been able to get away with it for decades but once checks were introduced they realised the game was up and couldnt face the embarrassment of trying to fake an illness but then again they could have tried fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome or too depressed to work all conditions that cant be proved but are good cash cows when trying to get other peoples cash.

With brexit on the horizon will the welfare brigade choose to work or rather hang onto lucrative welfare tax free cheques instead? Up to the election it was scary to think if they had voted jezza may have got in but they were probably too busy watching their taxpayer funded sky, or too stoned on booze or drugs that they forgot to vote on the day.

Come on boris you can pass whatever legislation is needed to finish off this pariah once and for all. The taxpayer has had enough. While you are at it they shouldnt be living rent free in London while working folk cant afford to live there so lets have some fairness in system and ensure that the taxpayer can afford to live in London for once by getting rid of the welfare junkies who live there for nothing.

Honestly, I respect that fact that you want to help these people, however if you open your eyes to what is really going on in this country all will become revealed. We have areas in cities that are no go zones, due to violence and gang conflicts, we have areas of towns and cities that are simply crawling with benefit claimants, who are more than able to work. Incidentally, did you watch Benefit Street? Or are you of the opinion that the show was edited purposely to show these people in a bad light?

Excellent viewpoint as always but need to correct your final sentence to 'no longer want to prop up the non-working classes' must remember there are 3 million households in this country where noone works and likely have never worked. So millions in this country take the easy way out claim welfare from leaving school to time of death and they pass this life ethos on from generation to generation.

Now a few are getting a wake up call to check whether they actually can work so then they claim mental health, fibromyalgia, depression and other such bs as means of claiming other peoples cash instead when the blatant truth is they are just bone idle.

A drastic shift has undertaken. In 1997 the Labour party won over 400 seats, a massive majority compared to the Tories. The same was for the 2001 election and around 350 seats were won in 2005. Then something happened (2008 financial crash). The Labour party in 2010 lost nearly a hundred seats paving the way for the glorious Tory comeback. In 2015, the Tories won 24 more seats while Labour grew weaker. 2017 election was a fluke so no need for discussion there. Then the most amazing election in the history of elections happened with Boris Johnson winning almost 50 seats! Labour were so weak that they had to get rid of their rubbish leader Jeremy Corbyn and rethink their flawed ideals.

Here is why the Tories are better:
1. They care about the economy and how it's going to be in the future.
2. They respect business men and the hard work they put in to keep it going.
3. They actually want to get Brexit done so we can move on from that mess.
4. For the first time in history a minority has been appointed as Chancellor of the Exchequer showing the diversity the Tories have despite other claims.

5. Ableist Tories are responsible for deaths 130,000 disabled people.

6. Don’t want to uplift the working class include low skilled workers and people who struggled with basic education.
Here is why the Tories are better: ?????????????????
1. They care about the economy and how it's going to be in the future.
a. Just a generic statement, how? Do Labour not CARE ABOUT THE ECONOMY?? Come on now.

2. They respect business men and the hard work they put in to keep it going.
a. And Labour don't? They want to tax super rich business owners, not just those that own small businesses. Also, Business women too x.

3. They actually want to get Brexit done so we can move on from that mess.
a. 'That mess' , that the Conservatives created by naively allowing the public to make a misinformed decision that they assumed they wouldn't. Took for granted that they would win.

4. For the first time in history a minority has been appointed as Chancellor of the Exchequer showing the diversity the Tories have despite other claims.
a. One position in a cabinet does not make the Tories the party of diversity. Their record throughout history suggests that they are, in fact, the opposite. Their leader has been openly homophobic, misogynistic, and racist and has had very little push back from anyone within his party.

The Union's days are numbered if England drags every nation kicking and screaming into everything against their wishes...

Enough to make anyone William Wallace in their hearts lol

I’m from a working class background and my ideal government would be a centre left labour one but in the last general election I actually wanted Boris to win as I thought Jeremy was dangerous. The economy is important and groups like momentum don’t understand and just shout the standard “for the many not the few.” I think the country will do well after brexit but more investment into public services (nhs, education etc.) is pivotal to the country and the fact most of the investment goes to the south of England that’s why I’m not a Tory.

Only that's not happening! England isnt dragging anybody anywhere against anyones will. The rules are the rules and the union is the union. Nobody forced anyone to join it, they joined it because it benefits them.

The thing with a union is you are in either in the club and except the benefits/rules and pay the costs of the club or you are outside of it, and lose the benefit and dont have to follow the rules and pay the costs. Its pretty much that simple.

Much like the EU then ....

For example, every devolved government has rejected the Withdrawal Agreement, they should only remains members of this union by consent of their people, whose voice for another referendum can't be ignored indefinitely especially with the SNP, or the case with a United Ireland poll in our lifetimes...

I don’t feel like I belong in either Tory & Labour. I’m socially conservative (except for gay marriage) it when it comes to economics I was angered by the Tories ESA cuts because I happen to be one of those casualties. Brexit Party, For Britian, UKIP pose more as socially conservative parties than Tories but they are more left on economics than Tories.

Of course it's like the EU, the EU is a union. The SNP are bring exceptionally dishonest claiming they wish to remain in the EU. They are conning you, The SNP just want another bite at the cherry.

The people voted to leave the EU and the Scots voted to remain in the UK, Ireland is a different story and one I dont fully understand, so I'll bail on that one.
