uni application

So in a sticky situation have got an offer from NTU and Cardiff met for product design but I just don't know whether to do the UAL art and design foundation course to then specialise in 3D design to then apply to more renowned Unis I'm currently predicted BCC. Cardiff met is 61st in the UK for PD it's unconditional but I don't know whether to commit to it am. I right to think that if I put them first and Trent second I will automatically go there and won't be able to decline Cardiff to go to Trent?

any help would be cool
thanks

Hi@rory_watkins

It is great to hear that you are interested in studying at university.

I wouldn't let the fact one of your offers in an unconditional change your mind on which university to go to. If you prefer a university that has offered you a conditional offer you should pick that one as it is the one you prefer.

Also, you can self release yourself from a university at any point using UCAS. If you decide that you want to study somewhere else you can.

Hope this helps. :h:

I would say that if you're considering taking a foundation diploma in art and design and you have somewhere locally that offers the qualification that you like the look of then do it. The year studying art full time and experimenting with new media and techniques can only benefit you in terms of being prepared for university and getting the most out of your future degree.

You can always apply back to NTU and Cardiff Met alongside other universities next year.
